Which comes first — the Beast, or the Mark?

These days, so many people are speculating on what the Mark of the Beast is. The problem is that most fail to first identify the entity that is the beast who implements the mark. But which has to come first? When considering a new theory on the mark of the beast, first you need to identify the beast behind that mark. Then, seek if or how that entity fits the description of Revelation 13.

In this study, Tom Stapleton gives an in-depth teaching on the beast who implements the mark, and the subsequent beast who implements an image to the mark. Understanding who this first beast is (once it comes into being) will help you identify its mark. Understanding who this beast is will also help you identify false theories on what the mark of the beast is. To watch on Rumble, click here.

Continuing his series on the beasts in Revelation, Tom Stapleton next focuses on the dragon(s) in Revelation. After covering the dragons of Revelation 12 and the first beast (the one with the mark) of Revelation 13, Tom covers the second beast of Revelation 13 – the one who makes the image to the beast and causes all on the earth to worship the first beast. Understanding who these beasts are is imperative to understanding the mark of the beast, and more importantly as you see these beasts forming on the world stage, you will have an understanding of where we are in the final prophetic warnings. Bear in mind that understanding these prophecies has far more importance than simply having knowledge. It is the foreknowledge of what is coming, and the advance notice to give time to prepare, that is key. Recorded August 20, 2025. In this final teaching on Understanding the Mark of the Beast, Tom Stapleton takes us deep into the Old Testament to uncover the true sign (seal/mark) of God. The very Hebrew word used for “mark” is also used for God’s covenant sign. Three key passages—Exodus 13:6–9, Exodus 31:13, and Deuteronomy 6:6–8—reveal what God Himself declares to be His sign upon His people. When we clearly see the seal of God, the counterfeit becomes obvious. Satan’s deception is aimed at hiding or twisting God’s mark—but Scripture pulls back the veil so we can understand it plainly. This study is essential for recognizing the enemy’s strategy and standing firm with God’s truth in the last days.

Who are the Beast, the False Prophet, and the Harlot described in Revelation? In this study, Tom Stapleton unpacks Revelation 13, connecting the two beasts to the global power structure forming today.

The first beast, seen rising from the sea, is the same as Daniel’s fourth beast and the fourth horseman of Revelation—a coalition of Eastern Hemisphere nations that initiate the New World Order and enforce the mark of the beast in their nations.

The second beast, rising from the earth, is a wild beast, symbolically tied to the bison—the national mammal of the U.S., emblem of the Canadian RCMP, and native only to North America. This beast represents the United States and Canada, forming an image to the first beast by forcing the mark of the first beast on the people of North America.

🔥 You’ll also see how the Harlot of Revelation 17 rides these beasts, steering the course of false worship and persecution of the saints.
